When are 2 hour driving lessons the most cost-effective way to pass the driving test?

Following your Initial Assessment Driving Lesson [see your first driving lesson], if you live more than 10 miles from the Driving Test Centre / appropriate 'nursery routes' Two Hour Driving Lessons are usually recommended as more cost effective than Ninety minute driving lessons [see extended individual driving lessons].  The reason for this is that when you to learn to drive from scratch it is important that the initial lesson routes are suitable for you and are not too busy or difficult as this could undermine your growing confidence. Therefore, for the first few lessons a proportion of the lesson time will need to be allocated to your Fast Track School of Driving Instructor driving you to and from the particular routes that are appropriate for the particular lesson.  A Two Hour Driving Lesson means that even if you live some distance from appropriate lesson routes you will still have sufficient lesson time behind the wheel to practice the required driving skills and competences.

Note that at the Fast Track School of Driving, such transfer time is actually of significant benefit to the driving student as it is used to effectively demonstrate the focus of the particular driving lesson.

In fact, this is one of the distinctive aspects of the Fast Track School of Driving approach, i.e. whenever you require it your driving instructor will demonstrate the particular driving skill, procedure or manoeuvre for maximum learning efficiency thereby saving you time and money.

An Individual 2 Hour  Driving Lesson

is charged at

only £24 per hour

Total fee £48

* an additional supplementary charge for collection and drop off when over 10 miles from the FTSD base @ £1.50 per lesson 10.1 - 19 miles; £2.50 per lesson 19.1 - 30 miles; & £3.50 per lesson 30.1 - 40 miles
